A hot trend in health and wellness has come in trend for Delhities. Bikram hot yoga, quite a popular name in US is opening in Delhi in the month of April in West Delhi Rajouri Garden.
Bikram ‘Hot’ Yoga is a series of 26 postures, performed in 90 minutes in a room heated to 41°C. The heat and humidity aims to recreate the tropical climate, which lubricates joints and allows the body more flexibility, as well as purging of toxins through sweat.
Bikram Choudhury the founder of Bikram Hot Yoga is a native of India. He opened his first U.S. studio in Los Angeles in the 1970s. Today there are hundreds of Bikram Yoga studios across the United States.
“West Delhi is much more receptive market compared to any other part of the Delhi, when it comes to fashion, food and health oriented programs. With a busy lifestyle either its work pressure or socializing, we aim at bringing the focus of people back to fitness by giving them an entirely different experience” says Pallavi Aggarwal, Director , Bikram Yoga Delhi.
