Sheetal Sharma has been working in the field of education for over forty years. A well known educationist and author of children’s books, she is an alumnus of a prestigious Institution, ‘Delhi School of Economics’, Delhi University. Her performance in B.Ed. was outstanding and she was placed in the merit list at rank four in the university. This made it evident to her what her profession is going to be. But for Sheetal teaching is not a mere profession. It is a passion enthused by her love for children.

Her deep understanding of children andof pedagogical nuances supported by highly creative and imaginative teaching techniques made her a very endearing teacher to her students in Vivek School, Chandigarh, where she joined as a teacher in 1971. Her excellent reputation made her a sought after teacher and she was snapped up by India’s largest and one of the oldest educational NGO. While working for the NGO, she initially built a high school from scratch in Chandigarh. The school is now one of the premier schools of that town.

Sheetal has been associated with varied international organizations like World Council for curriculum and Instructions, has beenPublic Relation Officer of this organization (India Chapter) and Director Projects of Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration (Australia).
