The much awaited BollyGoods unveiled its first edition today over a mystique exhibition of the very volcanic art, design and lifestyle world of Bollywood.

The much awaited BollyGoods unveiled its first edition today over a mystique exhibition of the very volcanic art, design and lifestyle world of Bollywood. The first edition of this unique platform is promoting celluloid inspired fashion, art and lifestyle, as flagged off today. The two day episode of this platform has created that realm where real, is meeting reel at the lawns of Dusit Devrana, New Delhi.

The inaugural day of BollyGoods saw launch of the book “I hate Bollywood” by Rohit Khilnani where actress Alia Bhatt was also present. The first edition presented the works of scions of leading families from Indian cinemas that are interpreting their inherited aesthetics through fashion, decor or jewelry design. Some of the celebs, designers and fashion labels who participated at the 1st edition of BollyGoods are: Queenie Singh, Dabboo Ratnani , DIVA’NI by Yash Raj Films and KBSH Private Limited, SUKETDHIR, Bhavna Jasra, Garema Nagpal, Parvin Dabas, Joy Mitra, Alpana Gujral, Kukoon, Peppermint Diva, Abu (Abhijeet Khanna), Baba Anand, Kanchan Chander, Sharmistha Dutt. The other personages from various other spheres to grace the occurrence were Jai Madaan and Neera Sareen to name a few.
The closing of this exhibition would be on Feb 23rd over an an exhibit, ‘10 famed faces’ by celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani.

Speaking about BollyGoods, Promila Jain Bahri (Founder & Director – BollyGoods) said “I wanted to celebrate and share the creativity within the celluloid with the world. BollyGoods is all about design and lifestyle of the stars. The whole idea is to bring together the hugely talented family of super stars who are accomplished designers in their own stream. People love Bollywood and are hugely affected by their fashion and lifestyle. So that’s what I wanted to share with the discerning fans.This time it’s a capsule shot which I’ v been able to pull through with my partner and friend Anshu, and all the others like my participants and sponsors who believed in the concept and became part of the BollyGood’s first edition. We hope to do it on a larger scale this year starting with Dubai and then London. Like the U2 song states – “can’t live with or without you”. That’s Bollywood for us”

The 1st edition of BollyGoods primarily focused on a spectrum of celluloid inspired themes on Art, Jewelry, Fashion and Lifestyle. The two-day affair showcased a wide range of creations, crafts, lifestyle and designs by celebrated faces that are quite closely associated, or part of the Indian film industry.

This celluloid inspired platform was brought to life by Ms. Promila Jain Bahri in association with Anshu Khanna a media professional and a creative individual who reported for Stardust for half a decade brings to this association her deep rooted connections with people from tinsel town. Also founder of the very successful design platform Royal Fables, she lends credence to this platform with her knowledge base.

Whilst speaking about the platform Anshu Khanna ( Co-Producer – BollyGoods) commented, “ Well, most popular lifestyle and culture emerge from reel, to real life and influence the way we live, love or pray. BOLLYGOODS simply captures the magnificence of this design language in a vibrant way”
