People happy to be rid of loot ki sarkar BJP tells Rahul Gandhi
Responding to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s ‘suit-boot ki sarkar’ jibe, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday said that people are happy upon the completion of the NDA’s one year in power and on getting rid of the previous ‘loot ki sarkar’.
“Thank Rahul Gandhi for his wishes, people are happy that we have completed a year and that they got rid of the ‘loot ki sarkar’,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI.
Rahul Gandhi had earlier on Tuesday referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a fashion icon and said that the ‘suit-boot ki sarkar’ should stop oratory and start action, for the nation would not accept them in the present form after five years.
“Happy birthday, ‘suit-boot ki sarkar’. On this occasion, I want to give them advice: if they carry on like this, the poor man will not let them have five birthday parties. So please, stop the oratory and start the action,” he added.
The Congress scion further alleged that Prime Minister Modi’s policies were for the benefit of his industrialist friends, adding that the Land Bill which the previous government led by his party brought for the benefit of the farmers was being destroyed.
The NDA government had taken charge at the Centre on May 26 last year.
