It was a grand evening hosted by Rashi Anand of Lakshyam where individuals came forward and appreciated an initiative by NGO Lakshyam. The evening took place on the 29th of September at PVR Director’s Cut, Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.

Under “Reel Classics, Laal Seb, a short film was made by and for the children living in the slums of J.J. Basti, Vasant Kunj. It is based on the unfortunate realities faced by the children of slums and their journey towards receiving education – the everyday trials and tribulations captured with innocence and absolute honesty.

Conceptualized and scripted by the children, the Film showcases a day in the life of a young girl living in the slum, who has a school assignment to complete (related to a Laal Seb – Red Apple – also the title of the Film) and how such a regular activity brings along struggles that no child should experience.

After the screening of Lal Seb, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge was shown. This surely gave audience a chance to feel the charm of Raj and Simran all over again. It was an evening to remember as they watched the epic love story after 21 years over big screen.

Reel Classics celebrated the mere idea of bringing joyous smiles to those who need it the most. This event appreciated the fantastic and lively work that our young artists have done and also brought happiness in their life as the  money will help us in generating funds for a brighter future of our kids.
