About Anuradha Ramam:
It is the keen sense of colors, crafts and creativity that Anuradha Ramam specializes in. Without any formal degree in fashion, Anuradha has been designing garments extraordinaire for the last fifteen years. Each piece that comes from the House of Anuradha Ramam is a beautiful blend of the Indian Handicrafts and vibrant colors put together with the finest stitch. Her forte is the contemporary look with which she designs the traditional Indian clothes.


Each piece that comes from Anuradha Ramam’s collection is handcrafted and unique. The finely stitched garment is a sheer bliss of Indian design sensibilities. It is her love for colors that she aesthetically puts together the vibrant hues and the bold shades in a way that it mesmerizes the soul.

The creations can be segregated in four basic styles, Hand block printed, Handcrafted, Hand embroidered and Fusion. She is most famous for her ‘Teliya’ and Handblock printed Sarees, which have created a niche for her in the Indian design industry. Her latest creation is the Indian Corset that she has designed which can be comfortably worn with a saree, a skirt, jeans and even formal wear


Her fascination with the ‘Fish,’ also her logo goes back to her formative years during which she was much into doodling. This is a design which has enticed her forever and it is her ‘Kolkatta’ memories as she says that make her so much in love with it , other than her fascination with fish , she loves to experiment with her work with fabrics like Ikkat , Kantha , Tussar , Silk and hand woven cotton.


Besides clothing Anuradha Ramam also has her own line of silver jewelry , she uses old silver pieces  and combine them with colorful threads and beads to make a beautiful piece of jewelry , she believes that an outfit is always incomplete without the Jewelry .


Born and brought up in West Bengal, Anuradha Ramam, has had her formal education in English Literature from St. Xavier’s college, Kolkatta.

Currently Anuradha Ramam supports over 350 weavers and artisans of Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. She has a small NGO which takes care of the economical and social growth of her artisans. Their basic needs as well as educational support for their children.
