Siddharth Saigal, Owner, Wrap Studio says: “This luxurious product is handcrafted using the finest of natural fibers obtained from the high altitude Himalayan Goats. The fibers are hand spun on Traditional Charkha’s using extremely skillful hands. The most precious of these yarns are woven by master weavers into this extraordinary heirloom product and are made in KASHMIR.”
Besides the exquisite fibre and thread used, the patience and dedication of skilled craftsmen enriches exclusivity to Charkha Pashmina. To create these master pieces of hand painted and embroidered product, a 6 months period is required. Available in dark colors like maroon, black, green, etc with a hint of red and yellow, all define the shades of winter.
Charkha Pashmina is made by the Shahtoosh weavers. As shahtoosh is banned and in order to restore their skill and save them from doing odd jobs, they have been employed to make beautiful and luxurious pashminas.
The shawls are packed in a wooden box embossed on the top with Charkha logo inside it giving the description about pashmina. The real pashmina is the process where finest goats wool on high altitudes of Kashmir is handmade from spinning of yarn to warp and weft on handloom machine. The packing also includes a stamp of Charkha with Indian national flag borne on it to convey that Pashmina is India and Kashmir’s legacy product.
